Minimalistic work ’23

In this body of work I’m driven to natural colours and minimal mark-making. My aim is to create light, airy pieces, where space takes the centre stage. This is to encourage the viewer to explore space between forms—within the painting, as well as withing yourself and the world around.

I’m getting increasingly more interested in the unseen—that which is around and inside of the physical, the energy that animates the world and connects everything together. It is exactly this energy that drives my hand around the canvas. My job here is only to surrender control.
